We are hiring for the exciting position of Full Time and Part Time Deli/Bakery Assistants. This role will allow you to demonstrate your creative flare and give you the oportunity to work along side a full team of other Chefs, Bakers, Bakery Assistants, Decorators and laise with our Restaurant to bring new ideas and develop your overall skillset.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Deli / Bakery Assistant to join our busy food-to-go and bakery team. This role involves serving customers, preparing food, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the deli and bakery areas while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene, quality, and customer service.

The successful candidate will be friendly, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner

• Prepare and present deli and bakery products including sandwiches, wraps, cakes, buns, and traybakes

• Assist with baking preparation, finishing, and display of products

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene

• Follow food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures at all times

• Operate slicers, ovens, and other deli/bakery equipment safely (training provided)

• Replenish displays and ensure products are well presented and correctly labelled

• Assist with stock rotation, date checks, and waste reduction

• Work as part of a team to meet daily production and service demands

Requirements

• Previous experience in a deli, bakery, or food service role preferred (but not essential)

• Strong customer service skills

• Good attention to detail and presentation

• Ability to work well under pressure

• Reliable, punctual, and well organised

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2) or willingness to obtain
