Schedule: Day shifts, Monday to Friday (some flexibility may be required)

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Baker to join our busy bakery team in Rathfriland. This is a hands-on role involving the preparation and baking of a wide range of fresh bakery products. The successful candidate will be reliable, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, mix, bake, and finish a variety of bakery products including breads, rolls, cakes, traybakes, buns, and pastries

  • Follow recipes, production schedules, and portion controls accurately

  • Ensure high standards of quality, presentation, and freshness

  • Operate bakery equipment safely, including ovens and mixers

  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene

  • Comply with HACCP and health & safety regulations

  • Assist with stock rotation, ingredient preparation, and waste control

  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets

Requirements

  • Previous baking or bakery experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)

  • Good knowledge of baking processes and ingredients

  • Strong attention to detail and consistency

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Good time-keeping and organisational skills

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2) or willingness to obtain
